My staff also deserve recognition for their incredible dedication and determination to ensure the success of the school. I would also like to thank parents, who have supported us so well during the year.

Congratulations to the whole CHSB school community.

The school is significantly up on all of its performance benchmarks, which allied to our most encouraging OfSTED Inspection recently, gives us great optimism for our results next year.

Of our 70% 5+ A*-C results, 60% of these achieved 8 good GCSE passes at A*-C.

A fifth of our students achieved A*s. Our results may increase in due course, as we are still awaiting clarification on some results.

Special mention is due to the following boys, who achieved an incredible and amazing number of A* and A's :

James Harrison 13 A*/As
Tim Westwood 11 A*/As
Jack Williamson 11 A*/As
Oliver Bradbury 10 A*/As
Ben Hoddy 10 A*/As
Daniel Toone 10 A*/As

WELL-DONE TO EVERYONE AT CHSB.

A-Level Results 2010

Star Performances
Chichester High Schools Sixth Form

Students at Chichester High Schools Sixth Form rose to the challenge of the new style A levels to achieve the first ever outstanding A* grades.

Nineteen students were delighted by their A* success. Among those were Ben Croad who was anxiously hoping for 1 A* and 3 A grades to take up his place at Cambridge to read Medicine. Ben went not just one step further but three by gaining four fabulous A* grades.

Congratulations also to Emily Nelmes and Caitlin Ellis for their impressive results to gain their places at Cambridge to read Veterinary Medicine and Anglo Saxon, Norse and Celtic studies respectively and to Elizabeth Atkinson, Natal Holmes, Jacob Maddison and Shelly Nunns for more A* results.

With 98% of Year 13 students gaining an A level pass and 65% achieved at A* to C grades, this has been another successful year at Chichester High Schools Sixth Form.

Equally impressive results were achieved at AS, with several students achieving 5 A-B passes. Particular congratulations are due to Head Boy Tom Rusbridge and to Rosie Lowther who achieved 5 and 4 A grades respectively.

After months of hard work and recent sleepless nights it was time to celebrate as students gained the hotly contested places at university. 'We are proud of our students' achievements' stated Higher Education Officer - Claire Oliver, 'and appreciate the hard work, help and support given by teachers and parents.'

The Headteacher of CHSB, Gavin Salvesen-Sawh said, "On behalf of governors and staff of both CHSB and CHSG, I am delighted with the level of achievement this year, especially with the new A* at A'Level.

We had 19 students who were absolutely 'over the moon' with their new A* grades.

For all 6th Form students, this is the culmination of a great deal of hard work. It has been an emotional results day, as the students suddenly realise that their dedication has paid off, 'opening the door' to their chosen university. Congratulations to all of the students in the 6th Form and their teachers in both schools."
